Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated: June 29, 2026

1. Purpose of This Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how ForgeStudy handles cancellations, revisions, and refund requests for customised academic-support projects.

It describes:

ForgeStudy is an independent online academic-support project. It is not currently incorporated as a separate legal company and does not process payments directly through the website. Payment methods are agreed individually with each client outside the website.

Each decision depends on:

Submission of a request does not guarantee automatic approval. ForgeStudy reviews each case individually and fairly.

2. Scope and Relationship With Other Terms

This Policy applies together with the Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy, any confirmed quotation, written project scope, milestone agreement, and other written agreements made through email, Telegram, or another agreed channel.

Where a specific written project agreement contains a refund or cancellation term for that project, that specific term applies unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

If there is a conflict between this general Policy and a confirmed written project agreement, the confirmed project agreement will normally control for that project, except where mandatory law provides a different result.

3. Project Confirmation

A project is treated as confirmed only when all of the following have occurred:

A contact-form submission, preliminary conversation, informal estimate, or request for information does not by itself create a confirmed project.

Until a project is confirmed, ForgeStudy is not obliged to begin work, reserve specialist time, or hold a deadline open.

4. Client Request to Begin Work

After project confirmation, ForgeStudy may begin work without further delay, including:

Where applicable law gives a client a statutory cancellation period for a distance service contract, ForgeStudy may ask the client to expressly request that work begin before that period expires.

Where legally permitted, the client may be responsible for the reasonable value of work performed before cancellation if they requested immediate performance or if work had already begun with their knowledge and agreement.

Beginning work does not automatically remove every cancellation or refund right that may apply under mandatory law.

5. Cancellation Before Work Begins

If the client cancels before any substantive or preparatory work has begun and before specialist time or external costs have been committed, ForgeStudy may provide a full refund, subject to:

If administrative review, specialist reservation, research, or project setup has already occurred, a reasonable deduction may apply where legally permitted.

Cancellation requests should be sent in writing to [email protected] with enough information to identify the project.

6. Cancellation After Work Begins

Where work has already begun, ForgeStudy may calculate a refund based on:

The client will not normally receive both the completed or partially completed work and a refund for the same completed portion.

Any deduction must be reasonable and related to actual work, committed resources, or legally recoverable costs. ForgeStudy will explain the basis for any retained amount where reasonably practicable.

7. Cancellation Rights Under Applicable Law

Depending on the client’s location and applicable consumer law, a client may have a statutory cancellation period for a distance service contract.

Where such a right applies:

ForgeStudy does not apply one fixed legal rule to every country. Mandatory local rights will be considered where they apply to the client’s situation.

8. Revision-First Resolution

ForgeStudy prioritises correction and revision where delivered material does not match the confirmed original scope.

If delivered material does not match the confirmed original brief, ForgeStudy will normally first offer a reasonable correction or revision before considering a full refund.

Eligible revision issues may include:

A client is expected to provide a clear explanation of the issue and a reasonable opportunity to correct an eligible problem before requesting a full refund, except where revision would be impossible, inappropriate, or mandatory law provides another remedy.

Revision requests should be specific, linked to the confirmed brief, and submitted within the revision period stated in the project agreement where one exists.

9. Full Refund Eligibility

A full refund may be considered where one or more of the following apply:

Approval of a full refund is not automatic merely because a request is submitted. ForgeStudy will review the facts of the project before making a decision.

10. Partial Refund Eligibility

A partial refund may be considered where:

The amount should reflect the value of work properly supplied and the part that remains unprovided or materially defective.

ForgeStudy may offer partial refund, revised delivery, service credit, or another fair remedy depending on the circumstances and the confirmed agreement.

11. Situations Normally Not Eligible for a Refund

Subject to mandatory law, a refund will not normally be provided solely because:

This list describes the normal position only. It does not mean that no refund or other remedy can ever apply in these situations where mandatory law, the confirmed agreement, or the specific facts of the case require a different result.

12. Changes to the Original Brief

Changes made after project confirmation may require:

Examples include:

Work completed under the original confirmed brief is not normally refundable merely because the client later wants different instructions.

13. Missed or Delayed Delivery

ForgeStudy uses reasonable efforts to meet confirmed deadlines, but delivery may be affected by factors outside its control or by client-side delays.

Where ForgeStudy reasonably expects a material delay, it should communicate this to the client when possible.

If delivery is delayed, possible resolutions may include:

A refund may not be appropriate where the delay was caused by:

Mandatory rights relating to agreed essential deadlines or non-performance remain unaffected by this section.

14. Urgent Projects

Urgent projects may require immediate specialist allocation and may involve non-recoverable time commitments.

After an urgent project has begun, cancellation refunds may be reduced proportionately to reflect:

The “urgent” label does not remove mandatory cancellation or refund rights where those rights apply under law.

15. Milestone-Based Projects

For projects divided into milestones:

If a client cancels after one or more milestones have been delivered and accepted, a refund will normally relate only to unpaid or unprovided future milestones, subject to the confirmed agreement and applicable law.

16. Duplicate or Incorrect Payments

Verified duplicate payments and confirmed payment errors will be corrected.

The client should provide:

Refunds may exclude external processing or currency fees that ForgeStudy did not receive and cannot recover, where legally permitted.

17. Payment Reversals and Chargebacks

Clients should contact ForgeStudy at [email protected] before initiating a chargeback or payment reversal where reasonably possible, so the issue can be reviewed directly.

Submitting a knowingly false or misleading payment dispute may result in:

This section does not prevent a client from lawfully disputing an unauthorised transaction or a genuinely contested payment.

18. Academic Results and Third-Party Tools

ForgeStudy does not guarantee grades, passes, admissions, publication, lecturer approval, supervisor approval, similarity scores, AI-detector scores, or any other academic or professional outcome.

Refunds are not guaranteed based solely on:

ForgeStudy does not control these external decisions or tools.

A specific result is relevant only if it was expressly included as a lawful written contractual requirement, and even then mandatory limitations and the agreed scope apply.

19. Client Cooperation

Refund and revision eligibility may be affected where the client:

ForgeStudy will still consider mandatory rights and the overall circumstances fairly. Lack of cooperation may affect the remedy available, but it does not automatically remove every legal right that may apply.

20. How to Submit a Request

Refund or cancellation requests must be sent in writing to: [email protected]

The request should include:

Do not send unnecessary sensitive information, passwords, MFA codes, or full banking credentials.

21. Evidence Required

ForgeStudy may reasonably request:

ForgeStudy may reject unsupported claims only after giving the client a reasonable opportunity to provide clarification where appropriate.

22. Review Process and Response Time

ForgeStudy aims to acknowledge a complete refund or cancellation request within 3 business days.

ForgeStudy aims to provide an initial decision or request for more information within 7 business days.

Complex disputes may require additional time. These timeframes are targets, not guarantees that every case will be fully resolved within exactly 3 or 7 business days.

The review may consider:

Possible outcomes include:

23. Refund Method and Processing Time

Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method or another mutually agreed lawful payment method.

ForgeStudy will normally initiate an approved refund within 10 business days after the final decision and receipt of any information reasonably required to process it.

External banks or payment services may require additional processing time beyond ForgeStudy’s control.

ForgeStudy is not responsible for delays caused solely by an external financial provider, but will provide reasonable confirmation that the refund was initiated once processed.

24. Abuse, Fraud, and False Claims

ForgeStudy may reject or investigate requests involving:

ForgeStudy may retain relevant evidence and take lawful steps to protect its rights.

This section is not intended to reject genuine complaints automatically. Valid concerns supported by reasonable evidence will still be reviewed fairly.

25. Matters Not Specifically Addressed

This Policy cannot anticipate every project, cancellation, payment, delivery, or dispute scenario.

Where a matter is not expressly addressed, ForgeStudy may make a reasonable decision that:

ForgeStudy retains reasonable operational discretion over matters not expressly covered by this Policy.

This does not permit ForgeStudy to disregard mandatory rights, binding agreements, or applicable law.

26. Changes to This Policy

ForgeStudy may amend, expand, replace, or update this Refund and Cancellation Policy to reflect changes in:

Minor administrative, stylistic, corrective, or clarifying updates may take effect when published without individual prior notice.

Broader changes may also be published without individual notice where legally permitted.

The “Last updated” date identifies the current version.

Changes do not retroactively alter an already confirmed project agreement unless:

27. Mandatory Rights

Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts, or replaces any consumer, cancellation, refund, repair, repeat-performance, price-reduction, or other right that cannot legally be excluded.

Where this Policy conflicts with mandatory applicable law, the mandatory law prevails.

Continued use of ForgeStudy services or publication of updated Policy versions does not waive rights that cannot legally be waived.
