ForgeStudy will not intentionally use personal information for a materially incompatible new purpose without updating this Privacy Policy or providing notice where required by applicable law.
7. Data Minimisation
ForgeStudy aims to collect only information reasonably required for the requested service.
Clients should:
- remove unrelated names from documents;
- redact student numbers where unnecessary;
- avoid sending unrelated grades;
- remove unrelated financial information;
- avoid sending private communications that are not needed;
- avoid sending complete account credentials;
- provide only the pages, files, and details relevant to the project.
ForgeStudy may ask the client to redact or resend materials that contain excessive personal information.
8. How Information Is Stored
ForgeStudy uses a limited-access working system designed for a small independent online service.
Depending on how the client communicates and provides materials, information may be stored in:
- the ForgeStudy email account;
- Telegram or another communication platform used by the client;
- private Google Drive folders;
- password-protected computers or mobile devices used by the ForgeStudy operator;
- temporary local working folders required to complete the agreed support.
Project files should be organised using an internal project reference where reasonably possible.
Access is limited to:
- the ForgeStudy operator;
- the specialist assigned to the project;
- service providers necessary for communication, hosting, file storage, or security.
Specialists should receive only the materials reasonably required for the assigned work.
ForgeStudy does not maintain a publicly accessible client database and does not intentionally make project files public.
9. Security Practices
ForgeStudy uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the current size and nature of the service.
These may include:
- unique passwords;
- multi-factor authentication where supported;
- restricted cloud folders;
- access granted only to authorised persons;
- removal of specialist access after completion;
- separation of project files;
- password-protected devices;
- operating-system and security updates;
- malware protection where available;
- secure website connections where supported;
- periodic review of file access;
- periodic deletion of expired files;
- avoidance of unnecessary data collection;
- deletion of unnecessary credentials;
- limited sharing of direct identifiers;
- incident review and response procedures.
These measures reduce risk but cannot provide an absolute guarantee against:
- unauthorised access;
- malware;
- device loss;
- human error;
- technical failure;
- third-party platform compromise;
- service-provider outages;
- accidental disclosure;
- other security incidents.
ForgeStudy does not represent that information is “100% secure”, “completely protected”, “impossible to access”, or subject to “guaranteed security”.
10. Sharing of Information
ForgeStudy does not sell personal information.
Limited information may be shared with:
- the specialist assigned to the project;
- email providers;
- messaging services;
- cloud-storage providers;
- website hosting providers;
- security and error-monitoring providers;
- external payment or transfer providers selected outside the website;
- professional advisers;
- public authorities where legally required;
- persons involved in preventing fraud, misuse, or security incidents.
Where reasonably practical, specialists should receive project materials without unnecessary direct identifiers.
ForgeStudy may disclose information where reasonably necessary to:
- comply with law;
- respond to a valid legal request;
- investigate fraud or abuse;
- protect the safety or rights of a person;
- enforce agreements;
- resolve disputes;
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
11. International Processing
ForgeStudy, its clients, specialists, and third-party service providers may be located in different countries.
As a result, information may be stored or processed outside the client’s country of residence.
External services such as email, messaging, hosting, cloud storage, and payment providers may operate international infrastructure under their own privacy terms.
ForgeStudy will seek to use reasonable safeguards where required and practically available.
12. Retention Periods
ForgeStudy applies the following standard retention periods unless a longer period is reasonably required.
Initial Enquiries
Enquiries that do not become an agreed project may be retained for up to 6 months.
Active Projects
Project files and relevant communications are retained for the duration of the active project.
Completed Project Files
Working files, uploaded documents, and final files may be retained for up to 90 days after final delivery to allow for agreed revision support.
After this period:
- files are removed from active cloud folders;
- local working copies are deleted;
- specialist access is removed;
- cloud-storage trash is emptied or allowed to expire under the provider’s deletion cycle, normally within an additional 30 days.
Communications and Project Records
Relevant communications, quotations, scope confirmations, revision records, and dispute-related information may be retained for up to 24 months after completion.
Temporary Account Access
Temporary links, session information, or authorised access details are deleted or revoked as soon as the agreed purpose is completed.
Passwords, MFA codes, and recovery codes are not intentionally retained.
Extended Retention
Information may be retained for longer where reasonably necessary because of:
- an unresolved dispute;
- suspected fraud;
- security investigation;
- legal request;
- preservation obligation;
- complaint;
- payment dispute;
- exercise or defence of legal claims.
13. Deletion Procedure
ForgeStudy performs a manual review of stored project information at least once per month.
The deletion procedure may include:
- identifying project folders that have passed the retention period;
- removing specialist access;
- deleting active Google Drive files;
- deleting temporary local working copies;
- deleting duplicate exports;
- deleting unnecessary account-access information;
- removing unnecessary identifying details from retained dispute records;
- emptying cloud-storage trash or allowing the provider’s normal deletion cycle to complete;
- confirming that the deletion review was completed.
Deletion from active folders may not instantly remove copies stored in temporary backups operated by third-party providers.
Such backup copies may remain until overwritten through the provider’s normal technical cycle.
14. Early Deletion Requests
A client may request deletion of eligible project information by emailing: [email protected]
After verifying the request, ForgeStudy will normally:
- remove active project files within 14 days;
- revoke specialist access;
- delete unnecessary local copies;
- remove files from active cloud folders;
- retain only the minimum information reasonably required for an unresolved dispute, fraud investigation, security matter, payment issue, or legal claim.
ForgeStudy may request enough information to confirm that the request was submitted by the person connected with the relevant project.
15. Client Rights
Depending on applicable law, a client may have the right to:
- request access to personal information;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- request deletion;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to certain processing;
- withdraw consent where consent is used;
- request a copy of certain information;
- object to direct marketing;
- submit a complaint to an appropriate authority.
These rights are not absolute and may be limited where information must be retained for security, legal, accounting, dispute, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Requests should be sent to: [email protected]
16. Testimonials and Feedback
Where a client voluntarily provides feedback, ForgeStudy may retain:
- the feedback text;
- rating;
- project category;
- general academic level;
- general subject area.
ForgeStudy will not intentionally publish a client’s real name, university, project title, email address, contact details, or other directly identifying information without explicit permission.
Testimonials may be edited for:
- spelling;
- grammar;
- length;
- readability;
- removal of identifying information.
Any edit should preserve the general meaning of the original feedback.

The ForgeStudy website may use essential cookies or similar technologies required for:
- website security;

- availability;
- international data transfers;
- security architecture;
- independent legal obligations.
20. Security Incidents
If ForgeStudy becomes aware of a suspected data-security incident, it may:
- investigate the incident;
- limit or revoke access;
- preserve relevant evidence;
- assess the possible risk;
- contact affected persons where appropriate;
- contact a service provider;
- take containment measures;
- delete exposed credentials;
- document the incident;
- make legally required notifications where applicable.
Clients should immediately contact [email protected] if they believe:
- information was sent to the wrong person;

The updated “Last updated” date will identify the current version.
Where applicable law requires advance notice for a material change affecting existing personal information, ForgeStudy will provide the notice required by that law.
Continued use of the website or services after publication of an updated Policy means the client acknowledges the updated version, except where mandatory law requires another form of consent or notice.
